Be Calm

Hello and welcome to today’s card, featuring the Lilypad Lake Bundle, Abstract Impressions stamp set, and Garden Impressions 6” x 6” Designer Series Paper! I wanted to create a simple, yet elegant, card for these sentiments from Lilypad Lake stamp set and was able to use the Garden Impressions DSP to create this.

The card base is Shaded Spruce cardstock, cut at 5 ½” x 8 ½”, scored at 4 ¼”, and embossed with the Simple Stripes Textured Impressions Embossing Folder:

I used a piece of this designer series paper from Garden Impressions DSP, cut at 3” x 4 ½”:

On a piece of Whisper White cardstock, stamp the lilypad stamp in Memento ink and use a Blender Pen to color in using Soft Sea Foam, Shaded Spruce, Petal Pink, and Lovely Lipstick inks. These are then cut out with the coordinating framelits:

The sentiment is stamped in Shaded Spruce ink on Whisper White cardstock and then cut out using the 2ndlargest oval from the Stitched Shapes Framelits and the lilypad’s are adhered with Glue Dots:

I adhered the DSP at an angle to the card base and then used a piece of the 5/8” Polka Dot Tulle Ribbon in Whisper White and tied in a bow:

The sentiment is then adhered to the front with dimensionals:

The inside sentiment is stamped in Shaded Spruce ink and the butterfly image is from the Abstract Impressions stamp set in Petal Pink and Lovely Lipstick inks:

This was my first time using the Tulle Ribbon and I really like the ease of tying a bow with it! This is a new product that will be available for purchase on June 1stand it comes in Whisper White and Very Vanilla, I think I’m going to add Very Vanilla to my shopping list!!

I am an Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator located in Norfolk, Virginia and was first introduced to Stampin' Up! in 2004 when I attended my very first card class with my Mother-in-Law and I was immediately hooked! I first started out by making simple holiday cards and over the years as my stash has grown, so have my card and craft making skills. It has always warmed my heart when family and friends love my cards, but they actually keep them! In 2016 I decided to become a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator and figured I could just do it for a hobby, but now I am going to branch out for all to world to see. So grab your favorite beverage, sit in your favorite chair, and join me as I share my cards and crafts with you! Enjoy!
