Mother’s Day Blog Hop!

Hello and welcome to the Stamp It Group Mother’s Day Blog Hop and giveaway for April! I’m so excited to be participating in another blog hop with such a talented group of ladies!

When I started out to create this card, I wanted to keep up with the “challenge myself” theme that I’ve been doing by using up products that are on the retirement list! We have to make room for the new products that are getting ready to come out in the new 2018-2019 Annual Catalog, right?? So, I chose to use the Painted with Love Designer Series Paper and created from that!

The card base is Rich Razzleberry cardstock, cut at 5 ½” x 8 ½”, and scored at 4 ¼”:

The base layer is Painted with Love DSP, cut at 4” x 5 ¼”:

The next layer is Whisper White cardstock, cut at 3” x 4 ½”:

I used the Timeless Textures stamp set to stamp the background images in Powder Pink and Blushing Bride inks on the Whisper White cardstock layer:

I used the Letters for You stamp set to stamp MOM in Rich Razzleberry ink on a piece of Whisper White cardstock and then cut out with the coordinating Large Letter Framelits:

The dragonflies are cut out on Gold Foil Sheet using the Detailed Dragonfly Thinlits Dies and I snipped the top and bottom dragonflies off. The middle part is adhered to the Whisper White base with glue dots and then the letters are adhered on top with dimensionals:

Using the Labeler Alphabet stamp set on a ½” piece of Whisper White cardstock, stamp the letters and image in Blushing Bride and Melon Mambo inks, trimming the ends with the Banner Triple Punch:

To put the card together, adhere the base layer to the card base, adhere the Whisper White cardstock on top of this, use Mini Dimensionals to adhere the two dragonflies that I snipped off and the little sentiment:

The inside sentiment is from the Dragonfly Dreams stamp set, stamped in Rich Razzleberry, Blushing Bride, and Powder Pink inks:

I love how this card turned out and hope this inspires you to “challenge yourself” when you make not just your Mother’s Day cards, but all cards!

I am an Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator located in Norfolk, Virginia and was first introduced to Stampin' Up! in 2004 when I attended my very first card class with my Mother-in-Law and I was immediately hooked! I first started out by making simple holiday cards and over the years as my stash has grown, so have my card and craft making skills. It has always warmed my heart when family and friends love my cards, but they actually keep them! In 2016 I decided to become a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator and figured I could just do it for a hobby, but now I am going to branch out for all to world to see. So grab your favorite beverage, sit in your favorite chair, and join me as I share my cards and crafts with you! Enjoy!

  1. Love all the layers on this cards. Everything just seems to work together, where the word Mom just stands out. #stampitcontest
