Celebrate in Style!

Hello and welcome to my final feature this week with the True Gentleman Suite! When I was trying to decide what I would create for this post, I thought this would be a great opportunity to get out my Stamparatus and create a background with the Hinge-Step Technique! Now, I have played with the Stamparatus a little bit and these are the helpful tips I can give as of now: 1)Use either Washi Tape, Painters Tape, or something similar on the magnets as this will help you remove/move them around as they are strong and if for some reason they attract to each other because they are too close, it will also help with pulling them apart and possibly from breaking, and 2) Using Stampin Spots to ink up your stamp(s) is much easier and not nearly as messy as using a Classic Ink Pad. As a Paper Pumpkin Subscriber, I have acquired the collection of Stampin Spots, but I plan on ordering some of the Uninked Stampin’ Spots (found in the Annual Catalog on page 201) so if I find there is a color I could really use in a spot, I will have it handy and I already have all the ink refills.

This card base is in Sahara Sand cardstock, cut at 4 ¼” x 11” and scored at 5 ½”.  To create the background, I stamped one image in Chocolate Chip ink and the other in Night of Navy ink using the Hinge-Step Technique with the Stamparatus.

I cut one piece of the True Gentleman Designer Series Paper at 2” x 4” and another piece at 1 ½” x 3 ½”, trimming the end with the Banner Triple Punch and adhering together. The sentiment is stamped in Tranquil Tide ink and the image below is stamped in Night of Navy ink on a piece of Very Vanilla cardstock. This is then cut out with the 2^nd largest oval from the Stitched Shapes Framelits and then a piece of Night of Navy cardstock is cut out with the 3^rd largest scalloped oval from the Layering Ovals Framelits, adhere together.

The card is put together by adhering the DSP to the card base, adhering the ovals on top with Stampin’ Dimensionals, and then wrapping a piece of Linen Thread around twice and tying into a bow.

Creating this background with the Stamparatus was super easy and I cannot wait to play with it some more! What do you think?
