A peacock with some bling!

Today’s card is another creation using the super cute Beautiful Peacock stamp set from the Sale-A Bration catalog. It’s bright, cheerful, and has some bling!

The card base is in Bermuda Bay card stock, cut at 4 ¼” x 11”, scored at 5 ½”, and the base layer is in Whisper White card stock, cut at 4” x 5 ¼”.  I used both of the “feather” stamps on the base layer, first stamping the longer image in Daffodil Delight ink and then stamped the shorter image in Bermuda Bay ink. Using Smokey Slate ink, randomly stamp the two smaller “star like” images. On a piece of Whisper White card stock, stamp the peacock’s body in Smokey Slate ink, then use Sponge Daubers to ink the fan/feather image in Daffodil Delight and Bermuda Bay inks. The image is cut out using the 4th largest scalloped circle from the Layering Circles Framelits and then adhere some Silver Metallic Thread on the back with Snail and use Stampin’ Dimensionals so this will “pop” on top of the base layer. After adhering the base layer to the card base, I felt like it still needed some bling, so I added Rhinestone Basic Jewels.

I am an Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator located in Norfolk, Virginia and was first introduced to Stampin' Up! in 2004 when I attended my very first card class with my Mother-in-Law and I was immediately hooked! I first started out by making simple holiday cards and over the years as my stash has grown, so have my card and craft making skills. It has always warmed my heart when family and friends love my cards, but they actually keep them! In 2016 I decided to become a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator and figured I could just do it for a hobby, but now I am going to branch out for all to world to see. So grab your favorite beverage, sit in your favorite chair, and join me as I share my cards and crafts with you! Enjoy!
