Spring Fling Blog Hop!

fullsizeoutput_14ed

Hello and welcome to the Stamp It Group Spring Fling Blog Hop and giveaway for February. This is my first blog hop and I am excited to be participating with such an incredibly talented group of ladies!

Nothing says spring like a basket of fresh cut flowers and with the Sale-A-Bration second product release, I could not wait to play with the Blossoming Basket stamp set and Basket Weave Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.

The card base is in Crumb Cake card stock, cut at 5 ½” x 8 ½”, scored at 4 ¼”, the base layer is from the Bubbles & Fizz Designer Series Paper, cut at 4” x 5 ¼”, and then use another piece of Crumb Cake card stock, cut at 4 ¼” x 4 ¼”, which will be used with the Basket Weave Dynamic TIEF.

On a Whisper White card stock, stamp the flower basket and butterfly images in Memento Ink, letting them completely dry before coloring in with the Stampin’ Blends. For the basket, I used Light Crumb Cake and Bronze, for the flowers and leaves, Light and Dark Pink Pirouette, Light and Dark Calypso Coral, Light and Dark Daffodil Delight, and Light Old Olive, and for the butterfly, Dark Pool Party and Light Bermuda Bay. Both images are then fussy cut out using Paper Snips. The sentiment is stamped in Bermuda Bay ink on ½” piece of Whisper White card stock with the ends punched out using the Banner Triple Punch. A piece of Bermuda Bay Shimmer Ribbon is added to the bottom of the embossed Crumb Cake card stock.

The card is then put together by adhering the Bubbles & Fizz DSP to the card base, adhere the embossed card stock, and then adhere the basket and flower image. Finally, both the butterfly and the sentiment are adhered with Mini Dimensionals.

Please contact me if you have any questions about the products used on this or any other project. I hope you enjoyed this card and thanks for stopping by!

Congratulations to last months winner!

I first started out by making simple holiday cards and over the years as my stash has grown, so have my card and craft making skills. It has always warmed my heart when family and friends love my cards, but they actually keep them! In 2016 I decided to become a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator and figured I could just do it for a hobby, but now I am going to branch out for all to world to see. So grab your favorite beverage, sit in your favorite chair, and join me as I share my cards and crafts with you! Enjoy!
