Valentine’s Day part 3

Welcome to part three of my three-part series featuring Valentine’s Day Cards! Each blog post will feature two cards giving alternative ideas featuring some current and some retired Stampin’ Up! products and even some Paper Pumpkin. Don’t worry if you do not have a retired product that is used, you can easily swap it out for what you have on hand or for something that is current.

For this first card, I thought using this stamp from the Party Panda’s stamp set would be perfect to use in creating a Black, White, and Red card.

The card base is in Real Red card stock cut at 4 ¼” x 11”, scored at 5 ½’, the first base layer is in Basic Black cut at 4” x 5 ¼”, and the second base layer is from the Sending Love DSP (retired) cut at 3 ¾” x 5”. On a scrap piece of Whisper White, stamp the panda stamp in Memento ink, color the heart on the envelope with the Real Red Stampin’ Write marker, and then use the sending love stamp from the Sealed with Love stamp set (retired) in Real Red ink. The image is cut out using the 2nd largest square from the Layering Squares Framelits and then a piece in Basic Black using the largest scalloped Layering Square Framelits, adhere together. The two base layers are adhered together, use a piece of the Vintage Crochet Trim (retired) to tie in a bow around the middle, adhere to the card base, and then use Stampin Dimensionals to adhere the square layers to the base layers. The inside sentiment is from the Sealed with Love stamp set, stamped in Real Red and Memento inks.

The second card base is Melon Mambo card stock cut at 4 ¼” x 11”, scored at 5 ½”, and the base layer is from the Painted with Love DSP cut at 3 ½” x 5 ¼”. I used the Love Notes Framelits Dies (retired) for the hearts along the front and then adhered a piece of Gold Foil Sheet cut at ½’ x 5 ½” to the card base so the hearts are on top and adhere the base layer to the card base. Using the three smallest curvy hearts from the Sweet & Sassy Framelits, cut out the hearts from scrap pieces of Rich Razzleberry, Blushing Bride, and Vellum card stock. Layer hearts and adhere to the base layer and I used a piece of Melon Mambo Cotton Ribbon (retired) to tie in a bow and adhered to the biggest heart with a Mini Glue Dot. The inside sentiment is on a piece of Whisper White card stock cut at 3 1/2’” x 5 ¼”, stamped in Melon Mambo, Blushing Bride, Calypso Coral, and Rich Razzleberry inks using the stamps from the Sending Love stamp set (retired).

Please contact me if you have any questions about the products used on this or any other project. I hope you enjoyed this card and thanks for stopping by!

I am an Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator located in Norfolk, Virginia and was first introduced to Stampin' Up! in 2004 when I attended my very first card class with my Mother-in-Law and I was immediately hooked! I first started out by making simple holiday cards and over the years as my stash has grown, so have my card and craft making skills. It has always warmed my heart when family and friends love my cards, but they actually keep them! In 2016 I decided to become a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator and figured I could just do it for a hobby, but now I am going to branch out for all to world to see. So grab your favorite beverage, sit in your favorite chair, and join me as I share my cards and crafts with you! Enjoy!
