Happy 2018!

Hello and welcome to Christina’s Creative Corner!

After the hustle and bustle of getting creative for the holidays, I found myself needing a couple of New Year’s cards for people that I was not going to see until after the New Year. I was inspired by Tami White and the cards that she made and decided to make my own version. The base of the card is in Island Indigo, I used the Large Number Framelits Dies for the 2018 on the Soft Sky Foil Specialty Designer Series Paper, and I used a scrap piece of Whisper White Cardstock to heat emboss “Happy” in Silver Embossing Powder from the Number of Years stamp set, using the Banner Triple Punch on the ends. I trimmed a Window Sheet down so that it was big enough to cover the 2018 to make this a shaker card. I lined the edge of the Window Sheet with Foam Adhesive Strips, placed some Frosted Sequins Embellishments (these are retired; however, you can use the Metallics Sequin Assortment) on the Window Sheet, placed the Soft Sky Foil DSP on top, and then adhered this to the Island Indigo base. Stampin’ Dimensionals were used on the piece of Whisper White Cardstock. The inside sentiment I used from the Snowflake Sentiments stamp set, which I stamp in Soft Sky, and used a Sponge Dauber with Island Indigo ink around the edge. Hope you enjoy this shaker card and thanks for stopping by!

I am an Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator located in Norfolk, Virginia and was first introduced to Stampin' Up! in 2004 when I attended my very first card class with my Mother-in-Law and I was immediately hooked! I first started out by making simple holiday cards and over the years as my stash has grown, so have my card and craft making skills. It has always warmed my heart when family and friends love my cards, but they actually keep them! In 2016 I decided to become a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator and figured I could just do it for a hobby, but now I am going to branch out for all to world to see. So grab your favorite beverage, sit in your favorite chair, and join me as I share my cards and crafts with you! Enjoy!
